The West Point Society of the Lehigh Valley is proud to sponsor the Dwight D. Eisenhower Award, a leadership award recognizing outstanding high school juniors. This award program is designed to honor exceptional students who have demonstrated outstanding attributes of character, service, and leadership. This year’s Schuylkill Haven Area High School recipient is Christopher George. Congratulations to Chris and his family!


This afternoon, our 8th - 12th grade honor roll students enjoyed an "Honors Cookout" on Rotary Field. Students enjoyed delicious food, yard games, and most importantly, Rita's Italian Ice.











The Schuylkill Haven Elementary Center kindergarten class wrote letters to the senior class for their Letter K – “Kindness” lesson. The kindergarten students hand delivered their letters to our seniors today. The senior class would like to thank the kindergarten students and their teachers for this kind gesture.

Congratulations to senior softball players Emma Osatchuck, Chloey Homan, Kyleigh Book, and Madison Bensinger. They played their final home softball game last evening.


The Schuylkill Haven girls track and field team received a trophy today at the Schuylkill League meet for being the co-champions of the Schuylkill League Division 2.
Congrats to Anna Schaeffer who placed third in the 1600 M on day two of the Schuylkill League track and field meet



Mrs. Rhody's Precalculus class tested the Kindergarten students' math skills by playing Around the World.







Congrats to Luke Garvey for placing second in the 300 M hurdles and Anna Schaeffer for placing 3rd in the 3200 M at day 1 of the Schuylkill League Meet!




Mark your calendars! Be sure to come out to Spring Fair on Tuesday May 16th from 6-8 at the High School!! All of the HS student artwork and all of the woodworking pieces will be on display in the gym, as well as other student work from other classes and clubs throughout the building. ALSO: Art Club will have their annual Art Sale table with bags, pins, prints, and other handmade goods like last year. See you there!


Congratulations to senior baseball players Ryan Schaeffer, Trae Sanders, and Mitchell Zimmerman. They played their final home baseball game last night.


Congratulations to Anna Schaeffer for placing 3rd in the 3200, Luke Garvey for placing 2nd in the 300 hurdles and Isabella Hughes for placing 3rd in the 300 hurdles. Isabella set a new school record!




Today for Art Club’s last meeting for this school year, we had one of our own 8th grade Art Club members teach the group a new skill. Ayla Essler-Kiryaman, makes beaded bracelets, bags and keychains in her spare time and she taught the entire club how to make a ‘simple’ beaded cuff this morning.

Mrs. McClusky’s Math 8 class visited Mother Bears Candy after learning about units of measurement.








Schuylkill Haven Youth Soccer Camp for grades 1-8 will be held June 12th-June 15th 2023 from 9:00am-12:00pm.



Students in the Gifted Program from the Middle and High School had fun today at an escape room and Urban Air.











This morning in State College, Dr. Fitzpatrick accepted a community partnership award on behalf of Mr. Dennis Siket for his role in opening and operating the LVHN Sports Performance Center. Dr. Fitzpatrick was in State College, along with 200 leaders from around the state, to acknowledge the incredible work that Mr. Siket does to benefit our school and community each and every day. Mr. Siket received a plaque and $250 dollar award, which he immediately donated back to the school district.
On behalf of Penn State University and the PA Association of Rural and Small Schools, please join me in congratulating Mr. Siket for his continued hard work and willingness to think outside of the box!



ICYMI, Mrs. Schwenk's students raised and released over 100 trout into Bear Creek yesterday, April 26th.
